George Bailey spent his entire life giving to the people of Bedford Falls. He has always longed to travel, but he never had a chance to stop the rich skating on Mr. Potter taking over the whole city. Everything that prevents him from doing is the modest building and loan of George, founded by his generous father. But on Christmas Eve, George uncle, Billy loses his business by way of $8, until he intends to deposit at the Bank. Potter finds lost money and hides him from Billy. When Bank reviewers discover the deficit later at night, George realizes that he will be held responsible and sent to jail and the company will crash, finally allowing Potter to take over the city. Thinking about his wife, his little children, and others he loves, will be better with him dead, he talks suicide. But the prayers of his loved ones lead to a loving angel named Clarence, who comes to Earth to help George with the promise to win…
